Honestly, the only reason to team up with 50cent and G-unit is because he knows how much of a young following they have, so sad seeing a once was legend, soop so low, never mind.....
Anyways to reply to sum1 who said "If prince teamed up with G-unit we would love it"....Well my answer to that would be, if prince did a song with 50cent I would no longer call myself a fan..... Keenmeister

I guess Michael still hasn't learned his lesson about hanging out with kids. Now he's hanging out with legal age ones but in their mind, they are still a damn kid. Andy is a four letter word.

He's not the first music legend to colab with a crappy rapper. In fact, he's already done it several times in his career. It's only a mixtape. Don't know why people are trippng. Mike will give whoo-kid some tracks, he'll put his rap shit on there and it will hit the streets. He's obviously just trying to create a buzz.
And about the title 'MJ-Unit: The Takeover'. If you are familiar with mixtapes, you are aware that they often have dodgy titles. I'm more excited about the possible Nov 21 release of the first single off of his new album.

Only difference is that Michael is having a hand in it...which is a good move. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify

The Trial Of The Century?
sounds more self lamenting drivel about the 'injustice' of being dragged to court on child molesting charges... and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

You wouldn't believe the fun major artists have with mixtapes. i still don't understand this concept. so is it an official release? but not for retail outlets, right? just for clubs. but what is the point in making something a club hit if it's not available to other people besides dj's? see, i told you, i don't understand it now, explain this to me, from the hypothetical longshot that Prince were to be part of a mixtape project. what would it be and what kind of songs would be on it? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

It's not just for DJs only because it's sold on the street and, these days, the internet. A mixtape is NOT official and more of a promotional item. So the material is kinda "throwaway", but you'll hear an artist having way more fun on them. Rap mixtapes have alot of freestyling for instance. Often on other rapper's instrumentals, which no one gets upset about. And there's guest stars. Sometimes big songs are debuted on mixtapes too.
Basically all the fun stuff that is way more spontaneous and isn't cleared through the record label.

Who cares whether it's just for clubs or not? It's a stupid fucking idea no matter how you cut it.

It's a stupid idea for someone on MJs level, but not for new artists!

Actually, the whole point of mixtapes is to regain consumer awareness, "build a buzz", which in the American market, isn't a dumb idea for MJ.

It's not the mixtape idea people have a problem with But at least in the mixtape circuit, G Unit had the most popular ones. This might actually work for the audience MJ is trying for.

Why are you all up in arms? I agree, I don't like the idea of MJ collabing with G-Unit, but that's only half the story. If you read on, MJ has a new single due out in November called "Now That I've Found Love" produced by Bruce Swedien. This is great news. Anyway, the tracks on the mixtape might turn out to be really good. You know the saying "never judge a book by its cover"? Well never judge music by its title or artist. Just wait and see how this goes down. Even if it's shit to the max, a mixtape isn't a big deal, it's not a studio album, so don't sweat it.

This is going to be interesting, of course the music will probably suck, but
it's a good way to get people curious about it, and they will at least give it a listen. I'm not shocked about it, Mike is a pure pop artist.
