Does anyone know the is really going on with Maxwell? I've heard way to many things about this cat and none of it positive.

He is supposed to be releasing a new cd very soon, but what's been going on with this guy?

Been wondering the same thing. I also had heard many "rumours". There was quite a discussion hear awhile back about this so-called explicit "out" record but nothing was ever proven.
We should be hearing defintive news anytime now about his new record. Maybe someone around here will know something.
I've been waiting for a new Maxwell release for quite awhile. I just hope a certain "producer/writer" won't be involved this time.
Urban Hang Suite and Embrya are amazing and in my top releases of the last 10 years.

Thanks for the info. I also thought that there were some drug issues was well but you never know when you are dealing with rumors. I have seen Max and his "boy" in and around L.A. years ago.

I heard Maxwell has had a girlfriend for quite sometime. Last I heard, his record label kept rejecting his new CD because they felt it had no "hits" on it. So they keep sending him back to the lab. Radio really needs him and D'Angelo back.

I actually wish I still had "Ascension" on CD. I just remembered that song the other day but I don't own it anymore.

This is definitely my most anticipated release.

It's not so much the fact that the music is negative because of it's homosexual energy. I think there's negativity surrounding it. The record company refuses to release it because it sounds too gay. That's pretty negative.
