Public Image Ltd. - This is not a love song This song is an ass shaker. Say what you want about the talent of Johnny Rotten. His music was immediate and visceral.

I love that track, but I'll never forget the Beavis and Butthead commentary: "You're wrong. You're white."

This was his second-to-last gasp of greatness, in my estimation. The rest of this album kinda stunk (though I loved that last track - Order of Death, was it called?), but the generic album from '86 is pretty great from start to finish. John finally decided to dump the Kraut-rock and synthesizers and did the cock-rock/hair metal album he was born to make.
It's a good one, I'd say:

It's a good one, I'd say: I love this album/cassette/cd. I tink they topped it w/ Happy?, though. A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.

Johnny Rotten/John Lydon is the George Clinton of punk - only as good as his collaborators. I love the first two albums, especially Metal Box. "Album" with Bill Laswell is pretty good too, as it's home to the peerless "Rise". There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

"Warrior" is on PIL's '9' album from 1989. The single "Disappointed" from that album was a huge modern rock radio hit. I liked PIL's early no-wave stuff the best.
