PrintableIn the 80s it was all about Prince and the Minneapolis sound. Any artist on Paisley Park and any other artist related to him in some way, like Jesse Johnson, Morris Day, Wendy And Lisa, Andre Cymone, Brownmark, etc., I was really into. I also had a lot of Jam and Lewis singles.

I was into Tina Turner, MJ, Janet, Cyndi Lauper, Madonna, Phil Collins, Lionel Ritchie, Whitney, Sheena, Gloria Estefan, Sammy Hagar, Jody ("don't you want me") Watley, Huey Lewis, Prince, Tom petty, and esp THE POINTER SISTERS! my first concert. in retrospect there is a lot of 80s music I listen to NOW that I like better, more r&b, but i guess i was a pop whore as a little kid. Classic Van Halen, early 80s Ozzy Osbourne, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane's Addiction, Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC, & Rush.
