Practically all my friends on myspace are bands. Here are some that I think need to be heard the most:
Icaro Azul: http://www.myspace.com/icaroazul Dark Latin alternative rock from Puerto Rico. It's really all about Ana Christina's vocals though. The Bellrays: http://www.myspace.com/thebellrays What if Aretha Franklin was the vocalist for the MC5? This band is killer rock-n-soul. Sing-Sing: http://www.myspace.com/singsinguk British retro pop-rock--like a crunchier Saint Etienne. Deadsy: http://www.myspace.com/deadsy New wave-doom-metal from Elijah Blue Allman's band (son of Cher/Greg Allman).

SammiJ said: JPW said: thanks sammi! you're quite welcome! i like the chord changes very unique sound thanks again... yeah i try and use jazz chords in a rock setting... it's so hard to get recognition for what you do though. a lot of my songs were written when i was younger... though i've recorded a lot recently too... but damn i've been working at the singer/songwriter thing for YEARS and i've been told i'm good and have what it takes a lot.. still, no contract yet!
