In the UK, George probably tops the list of mega artists who will sell out any time any place, any price.

The only people who could probably do it are U2, Madonna, Robbie Williams and the Stones.

George has just added extra dates, and they have sold out in hours too. He has sold over 220,000 tickets already.

Wow, OK... I am saying all this as a huge fan of GM for the last 15 years, and I have all his b-sides etc. - I guess I thought I was in much more of a minority than I really am. Maybe moving to the States and finding out that people over here only know the Faith album jaded me to how popular he still is in the UK.

What makes it even more amazing is that most of the seats are over £100.

Eh? Only the front blocks are. Thereafter it's £60 and £40.

Well, he didn't make himself too popular in the US with "Shoot The Dog", did he? And for being gay. And for not making Faith 2, or even Listen Without Thinking Of Shuttlecocks Down Shorts 2.

yep he said on Parkinson on Saturday night that he was touring the whole of Europe, UK and USA... Main points he said were "the tour starts in Germany" and "there will be about 4 weeks in the UK" (it will be more now that other dates have been added)

the first block of tickets sold out in the UK within 18mins and then more dates were added and they sold out within 22mins, there is more talk of other dates being added as they sold much quicker than expected...

oh and he added that he was a bad driver eek never would have thought it would ya!!!

That was a pretty funny interview, but he does take himself way too seriously - even when he's being self-deprecating. But so what, right? lol
