Work began on the new album tentatively titled "Finding Forever" last year. The first track recorded was supposed to be a remix of "Go" (featuring D'Angelo and produced by JDilla) but it was so drastically different from the original they considered it a new song. Kanye is supposedly on board again for the majority of the LP.

It's supposed to be released this fall.

I heard that when they were making Be, Dilla had done about 50% of the tracks... but when it was released there was only like 2 jams of his left on there, while the rest were by the executive producer Kanye.

I wanna hear those other Dilla Be jawns.

Me too. After Like Water For Chocolate and Electric Circus, Common thought he was being pigeon-holed into that boho a.k.a "Soulquarian" sound and wanted to venture out of it.

Be was definitely solid, but I prefer his more experimental music.

Yeah, Dilla had a big part of that experimental sound on Electric Circus, and I think the abstract style was a positive move for hiphop but definitely less commercial.
