80s R&B classic of the day: "Love Has Come Around" by Donald Byrd and 125th Street,N.Y.C. (1981) All week long,I've been listening to the newly released 2-CD set Journey Into Paradise: The Larry LeVan Story and it contains so many rare jams that are hard to find elsewhere. One of the best songs is the 1981 jam "Love Has Come Around",which I used to hear on the radio all the time back in 1981/82.Our local R&B station wore this song out. That piano riff is so memorable.I hadn't heard this song since 1982 and I've been looking all over for it.Check out what the liner notes say about this song... With its unforgettable Fender Rhodes riff and gorgeous, atmospheric production by Isaac Hayes, jazz giant Donald Byrd's foray into disco became an end-of-the-night favorite at the Paradise Garage.Just listen and see if it doesn't transport you to a dancefloor somewhere, with the morning sun peeking in from the closed doors. I couldn't have said it better myself

As they would say in the UK ¨ Wicked choon ! ¨ .
Great keyboard breakdown in the middle . Not shure if the maxi-single is more expanded but it´s worth to ad it in ones collection .

The track originally appeared on this album :
Donald Byrd And 124th Street NYC - Love Byrd ( 1981 ) Isaac Hayes produced Byrd LP saw him change styles again, this time from jazz-funk-fusion to Modern Soul/Boogie territory. "Love Has Come Around" was a Larry Levan fave and "I Feel Like Loving You Today" is still a 2-step soul anthem. 1 - Love Has Come Around 2 - Butterfly 3 - I Feel Like Loving You Today 4 - I Love Your Love 5 - I'll Always Love You 6 - Love For Sale 7 - Falling http://cgi.ebay.com/DONAL...otohosting . . .
