listen to "SCENES FROM AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT " from the stranger album and tell me that guy isnt a truly great songwriter.saw him perform it live and it was amazing how good it sounded...

He WAS a pretty good song writer - a little hit and miss - but he hasn't written a song in nearly 15 years so I would say it's hard to call him a great songwriter.

Plus his voice is SHOT. I saw him a few years ago and while he still had great energy his voice was gone. Listen to list 2000 live cd for proof.
