Don't get stoned and listen to...

...The Final Countdown by Europe.

Those who have made the same mistake must know what I am talking about. It's just single-handedly the most wrong feeling in the world.

I don't know. My threads are seldom successes because I rarely ask people any questions. I think my most successful thread ever was that "Which ones do you like more, cats or dogs?" on the general discussion forum.

Don´t know about the success of your threads but I really appreciate all the valuable musical and technical wisdom you share with us here..most of your posts are really deep and on point.
thumbs up!

By the way, that song made me lose some respect for a girl I had a very deep crush on....we were talking about music that motivates and pushes you to your limits while working out, and she came up with this bullshit as an example because that´s what the fitness instructor played on the stereo during her spinning workout...

She also likes Xavier Naidoo ( quite popular singer over here, did a track with RZA).

I know these things are not that crucial, but still.... lol

I know. Dating women can be really hard sometimes if you have even a tad elitist approach to music. And there's always some unexplainable blind spot they have in their tastes (I'm just referring to the women I've personally known). Liking i.e. "The Final Countdown", Abba or Wham! is okay if you still pertain a certain camp approach to it, but if that's really what drives you emotionally towards greater achievements in life... confused

Well, I've always wondered what "local" (Germans etc.) people thought of Xavier Naidoo. Some of his singles I've seen on the German MTV are on the first hearing better than a lot of the other German R&B acts, but something about the guy just seems very fake (could be the hat, for all I know). Even if I really don't understand German.

That dude is even weirder than Prince when it comes to religion and shoving it down peoples throats, and while his beats and singing might be so-so or even half decent it´s his lyrics that drive me nuts !
He´s mostly popular with the females over here, his lyrics are corny as hell and sound like he came up with after too much marijuana.....MJ is cool from time to time, sometimes it even leads to great songs, a la George Michael who also admitted being a pothead but Naidoo is just horrible, his lyrics are utter shit, full of wrongly used proverbs and sayings plus he´s a hypocrite , not only with his MJ habit ( got busted not too long ago) but also with his holier -than- thou attitude.
He´s also got this protege/spin off group called Söhne Mannheims.../Sons of Mannheim, his hometown homies....

I dislike them with a passion. Too many points to write down why I dislike him soooo much. Just ask any German man/woman, I´m curious what they´re goona tell you.

I prefer "Supernatural". But yes, GOB's theme is cool, too.

One word for Xavier: wannabe. He wants to be a soul singer (he isn't), he wants to be a preacher (he somehow is, but an awful one), he wants to be an artist (well...). It's not that he is utter crap, it's just that all those pseudo-artistic attitude is absolutely annoying to me.
