My girl is back with a new cd out soon... The first single is called, "Weary" which can be downloaded along with the video on her website. I think she has the voice of an angel, and a deep meaningful lyricist far superior to the crap put out nowadays.... Truely an under appreciated artist!

Yeah I'm really feeling the "Weary" cut. And yes she is underated. I like her and Ms. Dynamite. I posted about her Ms. D a while back and she does have a current cd out as well. I like the chics who show the versatility and just by their own unique expression and delivery can stand on their own two without showing 95% of their bodies. A lot of female artist that get all the hype are there simple because there are not hard on the eyes and we get bombarded with look at me...look how sexy I'm am. Ahhhh sit ya ass down because most of them cannot hold a candle to real folks like Erykah, Sade, Jill, Heather, shit even Mandisa from American Idol would have me shakin in my boots just from her voice alone. Or how about some old school diva's like Patti, Teena, Lalah, Stephanie all who can with their very presence can keep you interested and intrigued. I'm eager to hear this album because it will be a great change from the rump shakin' video vixens.

Lina's 2nd CD was better than her first and most agree. Goapele's 2nd CD was better than her debut, and most agree. I do agree with you about Amel's debut and her 2nd one though, I didn't like it as much as her 1st.

But you're still out of the fam tree. lol

Yeah, I thought the same about Goapele's 2nd CD then I heard some cuts over on AOL Radio and then I played it again and realized her 2nd CD was far superior to her debut. Lina's 2nd one is a lot better than her debut. Peep them out again and I'll save you a space on one of the family tree limbs lol

I used to be the same way, but I gave Goapele's 2nd one a 2nd listen to and Mint Condition's Luxury Brown a 2nd listen to and now I'm vibing both of those CDs.

She is one of those women I wish I had met before she got married.I would've done everything to make us hit it off. But,besides that, she is a beatiful person, seemingly. Her voice is incredible.

Well alright now!
I agree about Lina's and Goapele's 2nd CDs but I liked Bravebird. Not as much as Infinite possibilities musically but lyrically I thought it was better.

I like Amel. She can, at times, get too ornate with the vocals...not crazy about that. Love the tone of her voice. It's one of those that you never get tired of.

I like Amel a lot! I recently brought her last CD and I love it a lot. That girl certainly SANG with her angelic and breezy voice. I remember when she did that classic joint with Groove Theory called Tell Me from '94 and it still sounds as raw as it did when the song was released. I'm going to have to pick up their debut. Anyway, I can't wait for the new album.

Amel's music is underrated. Infinite Possibilities grew on me very quietly. Not that I didn't like it but I liked it more over time. Bravebird I liked alog, especially the title track and Congo. I'm looking forward to this new CD.

Agree. Can't figure why she's not bigger. She has the talent and the look. Then, I can't recall any videos. Guess people really do need something to look at today.

She had a video for "Get Up" off her 1st album and she had a video for "For Real" off the last album, helmed by Prince fave Sanaa Hamri.

Didn't know that. That's a nice track too (For Real). Wonder what they're doing wrong. Maybe this time around.

It's not necessarily them, but the radio programmers don't include Neo Soul on their lists.
