MJ is working on a new album

LONDON (AP) - Michael Jackson has returned to the studio and
plans to release a new album next year for a record label owned by
the son of Bahrain's king.

2 Seas Records, which is owned by Sheik Abdulla bin Hamad Al
Khalifa, said Tuesday it had signed an exclusive recording
agreement with Jackson, and the new album was tentatively scheduled
for release in late 2007.

Jackson, 47, moved to the Gulf state soon after being acquitted
of child molestation charges in California last year. The 33-island
archipelago is about the size of Rhode Island.

``I am incredibly excited about my new venture and I am enjoying
being back in the studio making music,'' Jackson said in a
statement released in London on behalf of the Bahrain-based record
label.

The label - which is due to release Jackson's long-promised
Hurricane Katrina benefit single, ``I Have This Dream'' - said
British music executive Guy Holmes had been named chief executive
of the company. It said Holmes would oversee the making of the new
album ``and the management of Michael's other business interests.''

Also reported on the BBC website:

I like this bit, even his own staff don't know what the hell is going on!:

Jackson's US spokeswoman, Raymone Bain, said she was not aware of the agreement, but added that his charity record for Hurricane Katrina had been released on the Two Seas label.

'had been' released, past tense? Did it do worse than Black Sweat?! It's a bit bloody late releasing it now, surely? What's the point in releasing a song to raise money for charity when it no doubt took a fortune to make in the first place?!

the album is being produced by 50 Cent and R.Kelly, and it will include a duet with Beyonce, and another song with Jamie Foxx. The working title for the album is LARGER THAN LIFE.

lol I'm joking of course, but that's exactly the kind of record that Michael always makes...trendy producers and guest artists, and a pretentious album title. If that's what he's serving up this time,I'll pass.

Great news! Bu I know the date cannot be taken serously, but I believe that one day it will get released.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."
