INDIA ARIE in AUSTRALIA! Was anyone else from here at the India Arie performance at the Enmore Theatre last night-Easter Saturday. It was the most beautifully perfect performance I have ever seen. I'm not saying it was the best concert as I'd probably rate the 1st Prince show in 2004 at Syd Ent Centre better-just.But I have seen the Diamonds and Pearls shows, seen him in Mpls and Paisley Park and India beat those hands down. I have only seen Sign O The Times/Lovesexy etc in cinema and video and they were brilliant concerts, but in the flesh India put on an amazing show.
She was so down to earth, ready to please everyone and anyone, sung almost her entire catalogue plus 4-5 new tracks and held the crowd captivated for the entire 2 and half plus hours without a break. She played acoustically and with the band and the band was tight. In comparison I saw Alicia Keys in the same venue last year and whilst she was very good, India was brilliant and did it with a stripped back stage and lighting. Anyone who digs this music should see her. She is in Melbourne tonight and I advise anyone down there to get themseleves there as quickly as possible. You will not be disappointed if you like her stuff. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who was at the show or going to the Melbourne show and get your opinions.

Yeah, I saw her in Glasgow a couple of years ago. Great show - about two hours, I think a solo acoustic section, and she came out with no hair. Fantastic singer and musician.

Sounds like a great show. I've seen her live a few times and once she brought her mother on stage and whoa, she tore the place up. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
