Car Rock

In Killing Yourself to Live: 85% of a True Story, Chuck Klosterman says to something to the effect of "Driving alone in a car with the stereo at full balst and the windows rolled up gives you a false sense of invisibility."

I think this is why I like driving so much lately. biggrin

Does anyone else feel this?

If so, what bands increase your superpower ability?

OMG I scared the SHIT out of an old lady with NIN yesterday!!!

I went to the gas station just as I pulled off the highway, shut the car off without lowering the volume, and went into the little quickie mart place...when I came back out a few later this old lady was parked next to me and she was going through her coin purse or whatever. I got in started the car up and BOOOM!!!@#*&%$# Sin came rocking out.... the lady jumped so high in her seat her wig was knocked askew. I shit you not this was the funniest thing I have ever seen! I just smiled at her real big and pulled away! i wish I would have had the balls to give her the rock sign and stick my tounge out at her, but i was too busy laughing!

Pro-pain has a great song by that name! It would sound good driving. Prong's Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Kneck is also good headbanging driving music

ofcourse there is Golden Earing's - Radar Love

and for the JUDAS PRIEST fans there's Heading Out to The Highway and Hell Bent For Leather

I like Yello's Bostich and budgie's breadfan

Ministry's Jesus Built My Hotrod is Ok I guess, I usually like to rock out to Just One Fix, Theives, Everyday is Halloween while I'm in motion.

BOC'S - Don't Fear The Reaper, Lots of Floyd, Rush

I know you said Rock, but Warren G - Regulators is a must for hip-hop.

I also think Tribe's Left My Wallet in El Segundo is a good car song.

Heck yeah...that song is perfect for driving in a sleep-deprived/caffeine-fueled dementia.

Back in my university days, I used to live in a pretty bad neighborhood. One of my strategies was to always drive around blasting Big Black's 'Songs About Fucking' at full volume, my hope being that I would appear so completely psychotic that no one would dare to lay a finger on me.
