i bought the cd "Youth" recently..... it has to Grow on me..... a little to Reggae and Damien "Junior Gong" Marley-ish for my tastes.....i like "King without a crown" , although to tell you the truth i have no idea what he sings about most of the time..... what u guys think..... does anybody like him??

Not so sure. I didn't like him at first because he seemed kind of gimmicky, but I saw an interview and he seemed pretty normal.

The music doesn't excite me so far.

Matisyahu is a gimmick. he may be geniuine about his music but please.....

His live album is good.

No he's not greatest thing ever, yes it's somewhat derivative.

But,

he sings well,
his band is tight,
the songs are catchy and
the lyrics are interesting.

imho.
