A few years ago,she came out with a kickass jam called "Missing You".That song was HOT.Had a funky 70s vibe to it,and also very Prince-like.Why wasn't that song a big hit?

This is why you need real distribution. By doing this project on her own, it's been delayed for what seems like forever.

You should her live version of it on Raphael Saadiq's "Live at the House of Blues" CD. She RIPPED THAT SHIT!

I was at that show. I didn't know Raphael or Joi could kick ass like that in a live show. Blew me away.....and I'm hard to impress when it comes to performing live.

Now bear with me, because I was there too, and I've been to a lot of damn concerts and Saadiq's backing band was the tighest backing band I've ever seen and heard! No lie!

You were there? Very cool. I saw them the night before down at the Belly up in San Diego too. When Rapheal mentioned Dangelo showing up, I had to roll to L.A.
There were tight as hell, but I've seen tighter.

The tightest 3 bands I've seen are Prince, Bootsy, and P-funk back in the day. Mint Condition can kick some butt live also.

Yeah, when D' came out it was absolute pandamonium! I loved it! That was also the last time I saw D' alive basically! LOL!

Yeah, there are tighter bands that have been actual bands, but I was talkign about backing bands. Prince, Mint, and Bootsy/P-Funk are all bands that have been bands.

Backing band....okay. I agree. They had their stuff together. Man that was a fun week for me. I saw a couple of other concerts that week. I was worn out for sure.
