Thanks, 2Freaky, for reminding me of the Family Stand.

"Ghetto Heaven" had a real Prince vibe. I couldn't believe he didn't have anything to do with it, when it dropped.

have you guys checked out their REAL 1st cd called Evon jeffries?

I love Beck's Debra.

I Think The Stone's Black and Blue album has some great Prince like grooves.

Those sound nothing like Prince's stuff to me. Maybe some other TTD cuts, but definitely not those two. The melodic motifs are completely different, Prince couldn't have come up with anything like them. confused

I wouldn't say either one is much better than the other. I might say that Terence has a greater flair for lyrics when he doesn't let it get out of control.

Michael Stipe's falsetto in "Tongue" always reminded me of Prince, and the lyrics definitely could've been written by the little man.

1)Ready For The World-"Oh Sheila"

2)Jaguar Wright- "I Can't Wait"

3)D'Angelo- "Untitled (How Does It Feel)"

I have blended "Dorothy Parker" & "I Can't Wait" in the club...works like a charm!!! It's essentially Dorothy Parker 1 1/2!!!! Surprisingly to this day people STILL THINK "Oh Sheila" is Prince.....IDIOTS!!!!! "Untitled"???? Nothing else needs to be said!!!!! lol lol lol lol

That little bit at the end should've earned Prince a co-writing credit, at least for "inspiration".

If "Holiday" counts as a track on one of her first two albums, I'll partially agree.

As much as I don't normally dig Madonna's music, I love that jam! music

It would be so nice..... music
