A Timbaland/Missy protege, she arrived on the scene with her debut "Southern Hummingbird" in 2002 and followed it up in 2005 with "It's Me Again" (which, I heard, was an inferior sophomore). Rather than a hip-hop/R&B-styled pop star in the vein of Aaliyah, however (despite a few dance tracks on both albums, the hit single "Oops! Oh My" on "Southern Hummingbird", in particular), she is much more of a guitar-toting, india.arie-like singer-songwriter. Just some basic info for those unaware.

I like her a lot. smile "Southern Hummingbird" was a near-flawless collection of introspective, soulful ballads and dance tracks, and I haven't heard "It's Me Again" yet save "Turn Da Lights Off" (awful ill ) and "Cab Ride" (lovely).

Oh yeah, and if she ain't one of the most flat-out gawgeous women I ever did see... love

All thoughts are welcome here.

I really dig Tweet with her fine behind. I hope I run into her. I believe she lives in Atlanta.

"Boogie 2-nite" is a bomb@$$ club-track from her debut-album .

Catchy uplifting & spoken intro over an infectiuos beat and guitar-lick :

" ARE U READY ? ... ARE U READY ? ... ARE U READY ? ... i KNOW U READY ... " dancing jig

Chorus : .... " I FOUND A PLACE ... WHERE WE CAN BOOGIE ... BOOGIE 2-NITE ... " dancing jig

I actually liked "Turn Da Lights Off" until Missy ruined it with her "rap interlude". That song had a '70ish vibe to it. Too bad 'ol Missy couldn't leave well enough alone.

I think Tweet is quite talented (and kinda sexy, too).

lol As far as I'm concerned, the song was already ruined by the beginning. "THIS ONE GOIN' OUT TO MAH NIGGA KWAME.. YOU STUPID FAH DIS... WE GON' TAKE IT BACK LIKE POLKA DOTS.. HOLLA!!!.. WHOO!.. YUP!... I LIKE DIS!!.. ETC., ETC."-- Missy disbelief

That song is one of the perfect skate jams to play today.
