Michael Jackson might finally be growing as an artist!!!! OUTSIDER ART
April 3, 2006 -- LEATHER-clad bikers mixed with art-world nightcrawlers at Milk Gallery for photographer Hunter Barnes' new black-and-white exhibit of transgressive toughies - including Bloods gangbangers, prison inmates and motorcycle thugs. Mingling with the hog-wild set was actress Piper Perabo - channeling early Madonna with a white headband, graffiti'd leggings and pumps - singer Maxwell, model Noot Sear, hip-hop heavy Andre Harrell, Butthole Surfers singer Gibby Haynes, Vice magazine boss Gavin McInnes and Brooklyn rockers TV on the Radio. Meanwhile, Maxwell's producer Devo Springsteen told partygoers he was off to Bahrain to work with Michael Jackson, who is hoping to record a new album. http://www.nypost.com/gos.../63899.htm Remember it's from the NY post...so take it with a grain of salt. [Edited 4/3/06 10:42am] What does this phrase mean? Sorry english is not my native language. As for the article.....yeah, i am gonna believe this once I hear the music. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

[Edited 4/3/06 10:42am] What does this phrase mean? Sorry english is not my native language. As for the article.....yeah, i am gonna believe this once I hear the music. (With) a grain of salt is a literal translation of a Latin phrase, (cum) grano salis. A pinch of salt may also be used. In common parlance, if something is to be taken with a grain of salt, it means that a measure of healthy skepticism should be applied regarding a claim; that it should not be blindly accepted and believed without any doubt or reservation. According to the Oxford English Dictionary 'to take 'it' with a grain of salt' means 'to accept a thing less than fully'. It dates this usage back to 1647 The phrase comes from Pliny the Elder's Naturalis Historia, regarding the discovery of a recipe for an antidote to a poison. In the antidote, one of the ingredients was a grain of salt. Threats involving the poison were thus to be taken "with a grain of salt" and therefore less seriously. In reality salt is not an antidote to any poison. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/w...in_of_salt

Well at close to fifty years of age, you could take that option into account at least.

OUCH!! IMHO, I think he's still capable of putting out a kick ass album if he just focuses on the music and not all the gimmicks. His voice is the most imitated musical instrument and is still beautiful when used correctly. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

His voice is the most imitated musical instrument and is still beautiful when used correctly. The thing about MJ is that he growls rather than sings nowadays. And even if on a rare occassion he uses his voice well on record i.e Butterfilies or Break of Dawn, he seems to have problems singing such songs live, infact he seems to have problems singing most songs live. I wouldn't care if he never releases another album, because I think he has done has much as he could have done in the music industry. I think it is more important in the long run to work on his soul.

Why turn this into another MJ bashing thread? The mofo's coming back big time and when he does your sorry asses are gonna come crawling to him! I the think the trial has made him take a big ass look at himself as a person and an artist and even the fact that he hasn't done a single interview or TV appearance since he verdict, is a good indicator that he's no longer Michael Jackson - The King of Pop. He used to be hungry for attention, hungry for acclaim, hungry for publicity. And he used to think he deserved every shred of attention, acclaim and publicity he could get because in his eyes he was the King of Pop, the biggest star in the world. He's since woken up to that and has retired from being the KOP and is now just simply Michael Jackson. Personally, I'm ready for the SOB to hit us with the best fucking album we ever heard in our lives. MICHAEL JACKSON IS COMING BACK BABY!
Recent pic from Bahrain: Whoa! And the mofo is looking gooood these days!

Uhm, I don't know if I would call that looking 'good'... *sigh* I used to fancy him so bad when I was a kid... just glad he didn't look this way back then.
I pray for a new album. It's worth it just to hear his voice. Do something awesome, Michael - music's the one area you can't be judged. Ah go on

u wouldn't call that looking good? just to clarify, incase u were looking at the wrong person, the guy in the red jacket with the sunnies and the bling is Michael Jackson. MJ looks damn good, I'd hit that! [Edited 4/4/06 3:11am]

[Edited 4/4/06 3:11am] The outfit looks good.. the nose, chin, and wig are FUGLY, though. Hmm, I'm even reserved on the outfit. That really is an unforgivable shade of 'red'. Again, I used to love the way MJ dressed... Ah well. He doesn't look 'BAD'. It's just that 'sculpting' effect on his facial bone that kind of... puts me off. It's such a shame considering how beautiful he was around the BAD/Dangerous period.... Yes I know he had had loads of surgery by then, but I don't think surgery is inherently bad, you just needs to know when to stop! Like here: [Edited 4/4/06 3:46am]

Like here: [Edited 4/4/06 3:46am] He should have stopped messing with his face from Thriller, better still from the OTW era. When he started looking like a "white woman" than the handsome, brown skin brotha he once was he has obviously gone too far. By the time Bad came along he looked more like a white woman than the good looking guy I remembered whilst growing. [Edited 4/4/06 4:46am] [Edited 4/4/06 4:48am]

Get the wig off and lose the horrible clothing. be a bit more natural, that would be a good start.
Looking forward to some new music from him though, that's the main thing. heard he's recorded with John Legend. good. Kanye too. Also good. Don't want him to do anything with fiddy though. no way.

I pray for a new album. It's worth it just to hear his voice. Do something awesome, Michael - music's the one area you can't be judged. Ah go on Of course he can! I would not be as skeptical as I am if the following were not true.. His output since Thriller is paltry at best. Meaning 5ish albums in over 2 decades? He's not that prolific...not like a "genius" or true artis would be. He doesn't produce his albums and has shown NO real musicianship in his career. He performs and Dances. His albums started sounding the same esp after Bad. It all sounds trying and dated. He has deep deep personal issues that get in the way of the music...and has had them throughout most of his career and the music is worn from it. These last two take or leave...but the first two are my main reasons to think a wildly likeable album from him is probably not in the foreseeable future. I don't like dissing Mike and I am not trying to. But you guys are kidding yourselves with this "Greatness is brewing in him for a new album that's just gonna blow you away!" The proof is in the pudding. (Not to do the inevitable comparison...but here goes...and it's just to illustrate what I am saying...)Prince can pull an album out of his ass...MJ cannot. If he were a great, musician, producer or even was a tad more prolific (preferably crossing multiple genres instead of the one he seems stuck on), I'd say otherwise. Really, I would. SUre another album will come out eventually. And I am sure a song or two will be enjoyable. But it's just to keep him in the business and he'll hope it'll come across as ground breaking and original and WOWOWOWOW...but I seriously doubt it. Christian Zombie Vampires
