they were a soul group who won a grammy for best country song, they were backing singers for sylvester WAY back in the day, and they managed to turn a bruce springsteen song into something soulful and sexy. that alone should give them legend status. i always thought of june as the "face" of the trio. the more i think about it, the sadder it makes me.

Sorry, but to mention Proof and June in the same post and then wonder "what's going on these days" as if cancer was something June chose to get (in contrast to Proof choosing to engage in a violent conflict), is straight up wrong.

i don't want to upset anyone or anything, but was June the sister who sang lead on most of the songs? or did they all sing lead occasionally?

i've heard the pointer sisters songs and all, but i don't know much about them.

This is very sad news and maybe this isn't justifed but I'm kind of upset with the way she was treated by her sisters. They left her even though the newstory I read had it the other way around.
