BILLY JOEL!

Is anyone else here a fan?

I am a BIG fan.
The only who's greater in music is Prince.

(As you may have guessed my nick refers to one of his greatest songs.)

Great!

Allentown is a good song.

My favourite albums are Turnstiles, Glass Houses and The Nylon Curtain.

Been awhile since he's released some new material. I think that's sad, would be great to hear some new pop/rock music from him again.
It's not the same with the classic music he's released, though it's good music.

But, he swore of popular music in the early nineties, seems like he's going to keep it that way,.

Was going to mention that. And whether we like the classical or not (I like some...hope the next release, if it's classical, is a bit more delicate.), he's being true to himself. We have to respect that. I also like him as a person...what he's doing with music education etc...

Oh, yes. I totally agree with you!
I like some of his classical pieces as well, and respect both that, his decisions and him as a person.

Listening to "I Love These Days", I shed a tear. : P

Glad he's still touring occasionally though, but only in the US.
Isn't he touring in the US these days?

uhhh...I take it you have only listened to 'uptown girl' then and not listened to culturely important classics (for the time) such as 'we didn't start the fire' not to forget the impressive song writing skills that lie within 'seens from an italian resturant'! Not only that but he has always shown great admiration for his peers and colleges to a degree that I have always been impressed by eek

'nother fan here. since the "My Life" days...

ahh, those were the days...
• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

Billy Joel will forever for me be as good as artists like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Stevie Wonder, Prince, the list goes on.

Stiletto is my jam. And The Stranger.

Billy rocks.
