I can't tell how many times while listening to the radio ...
...i've asked Ronnie Spector to Be My Baby. 
Since they were a singles group a comp wouldn't be out of the question... 
...and this one has all the Phil Spector produced hits. Be My Baby Baby I Love You Walking in the Rain You Baby You Came, You Saw, You Conquered Paradise They're all there. The best way I can describe The Ronette's music is Perfect Pop. You just have to hear it and you'll feel it. tA  Tribal Disorder

She was sooooo sexy and she had this sexiness in her voice as well. It was somethin' else, especially back then. The only person I can think off offhand who had a sexiness goin' on like that was Tina Turner, though she had a rawer, wilder sexuality. Haven't heard the Joey Ramone produced EP. But I don't believe any fleeting Punk association would be nearly as stellar as the material she did with The Ronettes. And yes, the material on the comp is firmly rooted in the 60s girl-group genre. tA Tribal Disorder

 I'm not sure where you got that from.
The majority of these songs are very upbeat and most tears mentioned are tears of joy. It's all about teenage love.
