Sirius Radio will change your life!! I thought I had too much music, 7,000 songs on my ipod and over 500 cd's (and counting) to lug in my car to listen to.. I got Sirius as a present and it literally has changed my life. I'm not shitting you. I feel like a kid again when good music was all over the radio and there weren't as many commercials..
I'm driving home tonight ad here's what was on the Sirius mix.. "Minute by Minute" Doobie Bros "FM" Steely Dan "Hey Lova" LL Cool J "That's the Way of the World" EWF "Thank You Faletn Me" Sly! No shit! I own all these songs, but havent listened to them in years. These DJ's know good music and they play it. I don't need to plug my ipod in, dont need to lug my cd's back and forth and lose them in different cases, just let the Sirius radio DJ'd mix it up!. If you like music, you will dig this! ______________________________________________

it's satellit radio. check out www.sirius.com. It's $12.95 a month, but it's worth more to me than HBO. ______________________________________________

Sirius is Awesome!!! Even w/o Stern (who I love), Sirius is just fantastic. I adore the fact that I get three NPR stations, a couple of ESPN stations, AND tons of music. Occupy Alphabet Street!

XM is better
but we wont get into the whole Sirius vs XM debate . Satellite radio is awesome . Have had it for a year now. A whole radio station of any freakin' genre of music you would want to choose from.

I really like it but I got it mostly for Stern and I'm definately taking advantage of the replays (although I listen to the entire show in the morning usually).
I like some of the cuts I haven't heard before that they seem to play a lot like "Over Like A Fat Rat" by Fonda Rae, which they play on The Strobe a lot. I think that and 1st Wave are my favorite stations. The Big 80s is great, too.

I was just in Circuit City yesterday, and they were playing "She Blew My Mind (69 Times)" by Rick James, so I'm like "what the fuck station (in LA) is playing THIS????? " so I go over by the speaker and it's the XM kiosk. Soon as I get the money, I'm getting the ride hooked up. I rented a car and drove from the Bay to LA last year with XM or Sirius in the car, it blew my mind.
Listening to records is cool, but when somebody drops a record on you out of the blue that you weren't ready for, and you know there's thousands of other people sharing the moment with you right then and there, THAT is the power of music. Boo-yaw.

....& Stern actually played Prince/Rosie's live version of Nothing Compares 2U this morning. Robin said she liked Sinead's version better, because she hated P's version when the sax-solo kicks in. Howard disagreed, saying Prince's version was great. even Artie liked it a lot.

I heard that today! A friend of mine went to Florida for a week and left me his truck with Sirius in it. It's only been a few hours, but I'm already addicted. Being able to flip from Neil Young to Bill Evans to Green Day to Stern is so sweet (dropping hints to the wife about my anniversary gift will begin now).

Boo-yaw. I'm not sure about XM, but Sirius has only two real R&B stations that play older stuff (one mixes in new stuff). Rick James gets a lot of play on the Storbe though. Sirius is said to be better in many ways.

Yeah, that was cool. I think Howard downloaded it or brought the CD because it wasn't in their music system. It was pretty cool. Hey, I haven't seen anything on the homepage of the Org....what is with this American Idol thing they keep mentioning with Prince? Sounds like a rumour!

i'm really hoping rhapsody will create a satellite station.
wouldn't it be lovely to have an input of what artist you want to hear and what songs from your library? i know this is possible with portable players, but to just tune in a not do nothing else would be too cool. mix this in with the element of surprise like other artist from the same genre and having the option to rate them (kinda like launchcast) or never hear them again. now THAT my friends would be the ultimate radio station.

I HAVE IT AND I ABSOLUTELY IT! The choice of music is overwhleming and amazing! Whatever music you're in the mood to hear - Sirius has a dial for it. I love the era stations - 60s 70s 80s... funk, rap, rock, pop... right now I listen to Left of Center (alternative) a lot and Little Steven's Underground Garage channel - Joan Jet spins a decent show on that one.
And of course... HOWARD! Who, IMHO, has never been funnier! Sirius! VOTE....EARLY
