I'd love to see a show like that. Unfortunately, it would bomb out big time because the only concerts that do well down here are blues or hip hop.

Some of the groups would do well at an outdoor festival down here because a lot of the people that go to these festivals don't care who is performing. They just want to be seen at the festival. I've seen funk acts at festivals with a nice size crowd. I've seen them in musical venues with about 200 people. There are some dead motherfuckers down here.

This sounds like the kind of show that Tom Joyner and the crew would show up to. . .

IF u've taken a good look , then you'll see that The Intruders have a recent snapshot including grey hair .
And for some other vintage pics ...shrug ... maybe the organistaion didn't have recent photos from every group in their archive ... those things can occurr .

Most important is what they deliver onstage .
I've seen Al Green last year at a jazz-festival . One of the best on that festival .
Al has aged and been through a lot of misery , but during the concert he was all in joy communicating to the crowd .... age , didn't matter at all at that moment . Totally irrelevant compared to his contact with the audience .

Man , that is a d@## shame .
I guess some people get used to it when it's just around their corner .

Everytime when such an event was about to happen in Europe , fans over here would go insane .
Recently The Brass Construction performed for a jampacked venue in Paris,France .
Too bad that these jams don't happen alot in Europe .

Through all the years my country has had about 3 ( or maybe a few more ) of those combined concert-occasions .
The ones i remember are :
1982 - Gap Band / Yarborough & Peoples / Robert " Goodie " Whitfield
1989 - Chaka Khan / Maze / Mothers Finest
1997 - Gap Band / The Time / Zapp

Yeah, yeah, I get it. I'm an old schooler myself--and a musician to boot, so believe me, I know age doesn't matter. It was a joke. Just didn't want you to think I was serious. (I do believe I put "wink" and "lol" to indicate that?)

I saw Zapp in concert in 2005 and while it was an enjoyable show,it just wasn't the same without Roger. The entire performance was bittersweet.
