Sharp Darts is one of my favorite rap songs every.
I don't like the second album. It's a concept album and it just sounds too garage for me.

Their music is self explanitory. The second album is a continuation of the first. It's all one long story. Yes Yes oh Yay. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

I was born and raised on the streets
my mum gave birth in the back of a dumpster and we lived behind tacobell for quite some time. We currently live in walmart. Me being the genious that I am... I was able to create my own lap top with a portable back pack...so I walk around with this lap top strapped on to my chest. Its pretty cool....all the radition has giving me bigger and stronger chesticles. I live on aisle 8 in the camping section.

Seriously, you have to listen to the first album before the second. It'll make sense then. You still might not like it, but you'll get the concept. I think some of it is brilliant, urban music with a British accent.
Oh yeah,it helps that Mike Skinner has a really sexy voice. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss

Streets are quite gritty and urban UK style. He's certainly no Vanilla Ice.

I can't stand him. I "understand" him because I'm surrounded by those chavvy types that speak that way here in South London. I just hate the music and don't really get the whole concept of speaking, not rapping and not even in any sort of time to the music.

Yes, somewhat chavvy but do you really not like his voice? I think he's got a way with words that your average Burberry buyer would never be able to express.

It is part of the anti music real thing thats going on, the pressures and strains of urban life e.t.c. And. I hate it.Because its like overhearing someone on the bus/train/whatever that thinks they are the authority on everrything blathering on their phone to their mates. I really dig them - I think A Grand Don't Come For Free is brilliant. Perhaps listen to the album with the help of alwaysontherun.net which has all their lyrics. great site too btw. I guess they're not for everybody but maybe I just like his accent when he tells his stories. Keep your headphones on.

Yuck. When I hear The Streets, it's like a Saturday Night Live skit and I have to try really hard not to burst out laughing. For me, the accent is totally wrong for rap/hip hop. It just doesn't sound right.
