Daft Punk were known in France as an indie outfit way before they hit the North American mainstream with "Homework" in '97. I'm surprised their first single "The New Wave" doesn't appear on this retrospective since they're spotlighting their roots.

I CAN'T BELIEVE MY COMPUTER DID THAT. Sorry, mods. You should apologize to me. I haven't heard "The New Wave" from `94. They should really have considered compiling it since for a collection like this. Maybe they couldn't license it. It happens.

The "One More Time" vid reminds me of Thundercats meets Sailor Moon.

Daft Punk are so underated its criminal.
The Video for Around the World remains one of my favourite videos of all time. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I wore the HELL outta "Discovery". To this day, I still spin it in my house and on my radio show. That album is full of mad grooves and smooth sounds.
I wasn't feelin' "Human After All" though. It's weird, I thought that album sounded too "mechanical". • Did you first think Prince was gay? •
Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

Got my copy and I love it (the three remixes included are brilliant). I just don't understand why they have decided to leave Digital Love off.
Also the video of Prime Time Of Your Life is quite disturbing! As one door closes, another opens...

It was sold out at this indie record store I frequent!
Which sucks 'cause I like supporting independent retailers. Gotta check elsewhere...
