Nine Inch Nails/Bauhaus U.S. tour with Peaches!

From Billboard.com:

NIN Drafts Bauhaus, TV On The Radio For Tour

March 15, 2006, 12:00 AM ET
Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

Nine Inch Nails has drafted goth legends Bauhaus and its new Interscope labelmate TV On The Radio for its summer North American tour. The trek will begin May 27 in Ridgefield, Wash., and will feature 13 subsequent shows with TV On The Radio. Bauhaus will continue as the opening act through the outing's July 8 conclusion in Mountain View, Calif., in tandem with another group to be announced.

Beforehand, NIN will complete a run of smaller North American markets on a tour that continues on to Greenville, S.C., tomorrow (March 16). As previously reported, the Trent Reznor-led group will also play Miami's Global Gathering Festival on Saturday and the Sasquatch Festival in George, Wash., on May 26.

The group is out in support of its 2005 comeback album, "With Teeth," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold more than 904,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

On April 4, Interscope will issue an EP for new single "Every Day Is Exactly the Same," featuring remixes from Interpol's Carlos D, Photek, El-P, Richard X and the DFA.

As for Bauhaus, which reunited for the 2005 Coachella festival and has been on the road consistently ever since, the group's only post-NIN date at present is an appearance at Germany's M'era Luna Festival, to be held Aug. 12-13.

As previously reported, TV On The Radio's Interscope debut, "Return to Cookie Mountain," is expected sometime later this spring or early summer.

I would like to have seen TV On The Radio, but I don't think they will still be on the tour by the NY date. neutral

Update edit:
Peaches will be the opening act for the second half of the tour beginning June 16th!

Yeah, I've seen Bauhaus enough times, but I've actually never been to a NIN show so this could be a good excuse to go. Whatever that third act will be on the second half of the tour will be the clincher.

it'll probably be like when NIN played with bowie and all the young whippersnappers filed out of the arena when trent was done and left bowie for all the old folk. which, you know, would be fine with me, i guess. dumb kids.

The Jones Beach venue has seats so I don't forsee any kind of mosh pit happening there. I tried seeing Nine Inch Nails once before and Trent canceled the show at the last minute.

NIN is worth seeing this time around - saw them twice in LA and San Diego. He does stuff from With Teeth but he also plays a lot of the old school NIN as well.

I would go even if it was just Peaches and NIN. That sounds like a good combo and I haven't seen either one live before.

that's funny cuz i went to that tour FOR bowie, lol. it was my first time seeing bowie and i was so disappointed. it would have helped if he sang a few older tracks since outside wasn't even out yet. shrug
