ROB ZOMBIE!!!

Okay -- maybe you've seen the video now for "Foxy Foxy" from the new 'Educated Horses' CD. I have no idea what the song is about, other than riding educated horses and trying to make a decision... but I digress.

I am starting a thread to see if any other Orgers are also fans of Rob Zombie's music. He's kinda cute, ladies (in a "might-clean-up-well" kinda way) -- and you have to admit, fellas, his music has some balls! (A lot of it has a heavy beat you can dance to at least.) I can't quit playing the new album!!!

Okay, on second thought, there are some things about Mr. Zombie that irk me. I just saw on his site that the next single will be "Let It All Bleed Out." WTF?!?!

Here he has a chance to make it into the mainstream, but no. He instead picks what's probably the worst song -- the only bad song on the new CD -- to be the next single! There are so many better choices...

I will, instead, play "Foxy Foxy" again and again until I get so sick of it, I decide not to play the CD at all. Maybe I'll check out his movies. I've not seen any of them. Is he in them? Has anyone seen "House of 1,000 Corpses" or "Devil's Rejects"?

I've known of the films but have not seen. Horror is the one genre that I can't get into. The animation, I might check out.

I wonder if he want's "mainstream". He sits in a very interesting place where he appeals to so many. He's not too. Not too dark, too rock, too electronic but he has enough of the elements to appeal to the different genres.

I like him and like him as a producer but I probably will only get a few of the tracks. I hate it when I'm singing along to a love song and it turns out to be a love song to Lucifer. Will avoid the witch tracks too.

Love Rob Zombie/White Zombie... regarding the films I haven't seen "Devil's Rejects" yet but I've got the "House of 1,000 Corpses" DVD. Unfortunately a bit censored. Great stuff. If you're into splatter and bloody dark cynism, that is. evillol It's real fun. And some very colourful pictures.

I like Rob Zombie. I must say his two movies were very disturbing. The house of 1000 corpses left a very uneasy feeling in my belly. Not only the movie but the extras. That clown is one disturbing character. The part on the dvd memu was very bizzare, I wasn't sceered just creeped.

I really wanted to like 1000 Corpses, but it was a mess of a movie that was just regurgitating various elements of some classic horror movies, without really going anywhere.

His albums are usually fun though, haven't heard the new one yet, but I was kinda suprised by the cover.

I guaranetee if you cleaned him up, you wouldn't be happy with what you see. There's a reason he's stuck with that look for so long. cool

I his solo stuff alot more than the White Zombie stuff. He also had some good ideas for 1000 corpses. He's part of what seems to be a horror revival.

I can't get into the new album. His voice is really different and while it doesn't seem like that much of a change from his prior stuff, it is different enough that I can't get into it right away. I'll try it again soon...although now I'm not sure where I left the CD...
