Yes, Lawd!! She put out another album last year in the UK, with the same producer, Steve "The Scotsman" Harvey (Donnie, Frank McComb), called Starlite Lounge, but it's got a different feel to it-- heavy Brazilian influence...

So much of the great shit that is out there is imports!!! pissed

Laurnea & Adriana Evans stuff is only available as $40 imports. I love them 2 but not sure that I want to spend that much money on one CD. And trust, I have dropped $20 just to get one song for a mix lol

Been thinking about copping Lauranea's The Collection...really need to do that.

I got my Briggette McWilliams and my Allison Crocket as well. Davina's CD is so damn tight!

Good question. I have no idea. The last thing I heard from here was her on a Gershwin tribute album and she ripped the song up! I forgot the name of the song. I think it's called "When I was down" or something of that nature.

I have been paying both of her cd's the last 2 weeks or so. I just picked up little girl blues last week. Deep sounds like Meshell Ndegeochello.

Yeah, N'Dambi was badu's backup singer and for those that have the Baduizm Live CD, she's the one that rips it up at the end of the CD when Badu calls out her backup singers to do a solo. Amazing voice!

Is she better than Yazarah (who also backed up Badu)? I saw Yazarah in concert a coupla years ago and although she put on a high energy show her voice kinda grates on me.blahblah

I have to tell ALL of you gals/guys that this thread has restored my faith in the music buying public. I was beginning to think that I was the only one listening to this type of stuff. I have 95% of the stuff mentioned in this thread. Great stuff. Thanks.....

The Fugees as a collective? No. L-Boogie? Yes. Kelis? On the fence but leaning towards yes.
