There is an Outkast movie and soundtrack CD coming out soon. He's extremely busy right now, getting lots of movie scripts, producing other artists, etc, but I'm sure he will do another solo album....when he gets the time.

I heard that he is also working on a morning cartoon, based on characters that he created.

I like Andre3000.He's the most refreshing thing in hip-hop,and I give him props for at least trying to do something different from everything else in that genre.'The Love Below' is a damn good album.I had never bought an Outkast CD in my life, but I had to go buy that one. Also,he's a good actor, imo.I've seen a few movies that he appears in and I was really impressed. Can't wait for the upcoming musical that he filmed with Big Boi.

neutral I like him best w/ Outkast. I really didn't find myself liking The Love Below album as a whole. Most of the songs didn't even sound finished to me.

The Idlewild soundtrack will be the next "official" OutKast release, correct?

In any event, throughout his career, Dre3K has been a skilled lyricist and a real creative force in hip-hop. He's not afraid to take chances, which is a virtue for any artist (name one artist, other than maybe Common, who went from "Player's Ball" to "Hey Ya!" like that).

Dre3K borrows heavily from other artists but the result is listenable and interesting music. There's no problem with that.

I think Andre is cool and it's great to see him stretch out and do something different. I just wish people would stop saying he's the next "whoever". Just let him be Andre.

His music bores the hell out of me but I will give him credit for having a look of his own in a dead ass genre of thug look-a-likes.

i think he's the shit. i know a lot of folks give him a hard time because they feel like he's copied so many others, but i think it's awesome that he takes all of his influences blend them together and serves them up with a different sizzle. All artist are influenced by someone though most of the time it's not as obvious as it is with Andre. i like that he's around and has evolved over the years, gives me hope for the future of pop music. lol what i like even more is that he's become so famous that he could be a statesman for other artists.

He's learned by listening to some of the best that have come around in music. The guy just can't go wrong. The Love Below went circles around Big Boi's Speakerboxxx. Andre 3000 is just plain awesome.

He writes some of the best songs I have heard in many years, and keeps the subversive, weird edge that Prince abandoned, or is not infusing as much.

His rap skills are top notch as well. The guy is a genius.

Andre 3000 is like a breath of fresh air in the music industry. He is one of the best artist out there.
He's taken the music he loves, people he admires and made it his own thing and try to be different is a very appealing i wish other artists would do the same.
The guy is awesome. great music, ideas, style, videos, perfomances, fresh, classy he has the lot and he can act too!

that´s true! I don´t understand why there wasn´t a single-release of Bubble Pop Electric. Gwen prefers to charm thugs in her videos- see slim-thuga, instead of make a risky one with Johnny Vulture!

considering that almost every other song on her album was released as a single,I can't see why they didn't release "Bubble Pop Electric"...or maybe they still will?

Ok, fair point, if that's how you've seen him play the guitar then fair enough - he's fairly shit at it (I thought he played all the parts on The Love Below and there are some smoking guitar bits on there).

and if you feel the way u do about his other skills...more power to you...

I was actually disputing the facts as you were putting them out. I don't 'feel' any way about them. DOES he produce his own tracks or not? He certainly hasn't been out of tune any time I've heard him.

no musicians i know would agree... confused

And musicians know what? They are more authoritative than the rest of us? I'm a qualified professional pianist. I find your last line more than a little condescending.

I only had 'speakerbox/the love below' but have decided to buy Outkasts back catalogue, mainly on the strength of Andre alone. I guess i like them and i'm not really that much of a Hip Hop head these days, i think they bring something a little different. i love 'Stankonia'. great album.

looking forward to 'Idlewild', the trailer looks good.
