sad

I think this might be the first in ten years that I have to sit out. Just checked out the prices for Wembley and it's £80 for a nosebleed seat and at least £110 for anything anywhere near decent plus a hefty booking fee. I love watching her live but I'm getting to old to blow all this cash on one event. I guess I will wait for the DVD.

I understand your frustration. While I am excited about the tour,I am not thrilled with the huge amount of money I'm gonna have to shell out.In the US,the ticket prices start at $55 and go all the way to $350.00! That's more than the Re-Invention Tour.I think there are some tickets that are about $150,I think I will get those. That's not an outrageous price.I simply refuse to pay more than $150 to see any artist.

I can't understand how she can justify such high ticket prices. Hasn't she got enough money or is she just striving to get the highest grossing tour of the year ? She isnt bothering to come to Ireland....then again her last show here was outdoors and she mimed most of it sad that maybe that aint a bad thing.....

She's playing next door in Montreal, so i'll have to see her there.
If another Montreal stop is planned, i'll have to see the second show too. I regretted not attending all 3 Toronto shows last time.

Sounds good. She has only one show scheduled in my city, but I'm sure she will add a few more.In 2004,she sold out three nights here.I plan to go to each show.

Not at all, the crowds are fun to be part of at a Madonna show. Everyone goes nuts and makes the experience more enjoyable. Nothing worse than a dead crowd, but i'm sure Vegas will supply that.

Madonna books 1st Valley gig in 21 years

Michael Senft
The Arizona Republic
Apr.4,2006 12:00 AM
Madonna has set aside her Kabbalah studies for a few months and is returning to the stage. And for the first time in 21 years, the Valley will be included.

The 40-something Material Girl brings her Confessions Tour to the Glendale Arena on June 8.Tickets,ranging from $60 to $355,will go on sale to the general public at 10:00 AM Monday at Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com and at the Glendale Arena box office.Sales to certain fan-club members begin at 9:00 AM today.

After a warm-up performance at the Coachella (Calif.) Music and Arts Festival in April,a first for Madonna, the tour will visit 14 North American cities before heading overseas. The Confessions Tour, which opens May 21 in Los Angeles,is only Madonna's seventh. Her last visit to the Valley was on April 30,1985 at Arizona State University's Activity Center, now Wells Fargo Arena,as part of her 'Like A Virgin' tour. The opening act was an unknown-at-the-time trio of rapping Jewish punks-the Beastie Boys.

This is Madonna's first tour since 2004's Re-Invention Tour.According to Billboard Magazine, that tour grossed more than $125 million, making it the most successful tour of that year.

Madonna's latest CD,Confessions On A Dancefloor,is a strong comeback from her lackluster American Life of 2003.It debuted at Number One in 29 countries and spawned the smash hit "Hung Up".The disc features a non-stop stream of music crafted more for it's booty-shaking dance beats than it's pop hooks.

Along with her 1998 release Ray Of Light and 2000's Music,Confessions shows that Madonna is still surprisingly relevent at age 47.

Whereas her last tour focused on earlier hits, such as "Material Girl" and "Like A Prayer",the Confessions Tour will emphasize her more recent dance music, such as "Hung Up" and "Frozen".

The show itself will be "all-out disco, with lots of disco balls,"Madonna told Billboard last summer.

And like her recent tours, this outing will feature direction by Jamie King, music direction by Stuart Price and costume design by Arianne Phillips and Jean Paul Gaultier.

"I'm going to turn the world into one big dance floor,"Madonna said in an online press release.

Despite what that article says,I don't think that "Frozen" will be included on the setlist, and it shouldn't be.She already performed it on the last two tours and I'm tired of it.
