Whatever happened to Chante Moore...?

I know she got married to Kenny Lattimore and they put out a disc, but after that...nada. I also know that once she hooked up with Jermaine Dupri and started wearing less clothing (the "Toni Braxton" syndrome), the albums weren't doing as good...

Anybody heard anything?

• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

Oh that Loves Taken Over maxi single was great! I also liked her track on the House Party II Soundtrack, Candlelight & You. I thought she released an album like 2-3 years ago, no?

he's still married to Kenny Lattimore and they've been doing gospel stage plays all over. I think the most recent one is called "Things That Lovers Do."

She was doing another album with Kenny and I see they've updated their website but the new album Uncovered still hasn't dropped.

Jive has yet to announce a release date for "Uncovered", which was first expected in 2005. It is now expected sometime in 2006.

This is the 2nd duets album by Kenny and Chante.

I do know that they had a kid and they were together for a number of years. Don't know if they were married, though.

Dwayne Wayne gots some game - heard that he used to knock Jada Pinkett down way back when...

He certainly must have game because I don't see what women see in that ugly man!
And yes he and Chante were married but he was like Janet jackson and kept it a big secret.

And since wre on the the subject of Chante' Moore I have to ask this obscure question because I've always wondered. In her video It's Alright where is that house that was featured video? And who is the guy that is playing the lead. Gee, I love that video.

She and Mayte always resembled each other, IMO. Always thought that was part of Prince's admiration.

No it wasn't a secret. Everyone knew they were married.

I really enjoyed her first two albums 'Precious' (1992) and 'A Love Supreme' (1994).But then she started to work with commercial producers like Jam and Lewis and Jermaine Dupri, and her music started to sound formulaic and predictable....like eveything else in R&B right now.The first two albums had a distinct, breezy, intoxicating sound which I liked.

I think she's extremely sexy and very talented. She just needs a GREAT album. She could be this generation's Diana Ross.

I'm tired of those duet albums with her husband!! mad

No offense to Kenny, because I think he is a very good singer, but I wanna hear Chante by herself. She needs to make another incredible solo album.

Kenny was the one that broke the shit out her heart that she used to always mention on the show.

I can not imagine Kenny with Star. I saw he and Chante on some couples island resort infomercial thingy and with no shirt on he looks like a stick. Much thinner than I imagined with clothes on. I wonder what happened between them?

eek You did NOT just put Jam & Lewis in the same category as that talentless midget. That song that she did with BoyzIIMen from the "Stella" soundtrack (which they produced) was tight. But, you're right regarding Dupri. It's funny how after "A Love Supreme" the quality of the songs declined along with the amount of clothing she was wearing in the liner notes and videos. Not that she didn't look mad sexy with the strategically placed sheet on "Supreme", but after that, it just seemed desperate.

And, I don't wanna get gossipy, but I vaguely remember reading in "Sister 2 Sister" that her marriage with Kadeem got VERY messy at the end.

Yeah her songs were very romantic. You belived the fantansy she was singing. I like on her first two CD's she had comments on the back page for every song. She went downhill when that Chante's Got a Man crap came out.
