I got tickets to see him in SF as I'm over here at the moment and it got cancelled. A friend of mine in the UK who's a big Edgar Broughton and Lewis Taylor fan saw Edgar playing a gig in Bilston (I think he said that?) and who happened to be singing and playing for him...Lewis Taylor! I thought he was meant to have throat problems? I had to ask my friend if he was sure - he said he was.

I don't get it.

Yeah supposedly his doctor said his throat is pretty much shot, so he had to cancel his U.S. tourdates (and also a TV appearance on "Live With Jimmy Kimmel") to rest. That sucks but I guess he has to take doctor's orders.

If he's singing with Edgar Broughton as my friend saw him doing, he can't have throat problems! When you have polyps, you can't use your voice at all. The throat thing is just an excuse, obviously.

Well the other story that I've heard is that the U.S. shows have not been selling well and promoters have been cancelling shows (due to low ticket sales). So maybe that has something to do with it?
