Sananda/TTD -- Angels & Vampires...any good?

I LOVED Wildcard...most of Neither Fish Nor Flesh...half of Symphony or Damn (but TTD needs to just settle down on that one!)...and a couple songs on Vibrator. I'm not sure whether I should buy his new one, Angels & Vampires. What do you think? Is it any good? It just seems SO goddamn pretentious! And the cover art...sheesh...

How does this compare to Wildcard? Are there a few strong tracks I should download for a sample? HELP!!!! biggrin

I've only heard Vol I, which is brilliant IMO. The production is more organic versus the studio sound on Wildcard. "It Aint Been Easy" and "Dolphin" are my personal favorites.

I think its pretty good. It is definitely one the most stripped down things he has ever done. I think most of the song writing is strong. Its not a big studio album like the person above mentioned.
