Cyndi Lauper tells Neil Sean of Sky News she's hoping to team up with Madonna on a project soon. 'I've been given the chance in the past to write with her but, as yet, it's never come off,' she said. 'We're both admirers of each other's work and she wants to get together so this is going to be the year.'

while i appreciate both artists sepertaly, i really dont see a great collaboration between the two icons...

Madonna seems more the "over-produced" type, while Cyndi seems more raw...(at least her non-80s output)

Im not ragging on either performer here, i just dont see it working...

Oh and btw, picked up her new "the body acuostic" CD today, loving it...

I love Cyndi, but she's just trying to create some buzz around her career. I don't think she's lying, but I don't since Madonna probably won't be putting out a CD anytime soon, I don't see this happening (and Madonna certaintly ain't going out of her way to record with Cyndi for her disc....altough for whatever the fuck reason she recorded with Britney Spears after AL tanked).

Strange. I just had a dream about Cyndi last night.
