"Speed Demon" is the best song on "Bad" This song rocks my box!!!! that double beat waz just killing 'em .MJ waz just on fire for this one baby. clearly one of the most impressive tracks on Bad.
n.b Smooth Criminal & Dirty Diana are also the best tracks on bad "Americans consume the most fast food than any nation on Earth and the stupid motherfuckers wonder why they are so fat? " - Oprah Winfrey

I wouldn't go that far...A lot of the production on that album lacked the soul of his previous two solo efforts...A little too plastic for my taste...but there were a few gems..."Liberian Girl," was my jam; "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Another Part Of Me," and "Man In The Mirror" were as well..."Bad" however was one of the worst singles MJ ever recorded...And while I didn't like "Smooth Criminal," (just thought it was a silly song) the video is among the best clips ever done...absolutely brilliant... "Who Is It" is actually from the 'Dangerous' album

"Man in the Mirror" wears on my f#cking nerves just like everthing else on this LP, but I think it's the best song on there. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I agree, but I think most songs on Bad rock, and Streetwalker & Fly Away are hot as well...

Yep Yep! Anyone who liked the orignal Bad album back in the day, would really love "Streetwalker" and "Fly Away." They are both awesome! When the special edition of Bad came out in 2001, I probably wore out "Streetwalker" that day alone. I loved it in 2001 and still love it in 2006! [Edited 3/31/06 10:21am]

[Edited 3/31/06 6:30am] No, it wasn't exactly plastic. I think the word you're lookin' for is too "mechanic". The Bad album was both an impressive and interesting effort because I didn't expect him to make a comeback like that after such an epic achievement like Thriller. My favorite song off that joint would have to be Liberian Girl. [Edited 3/31/06 20:43pm] Check me out and add me on:

I love Bad. I like it more than Thriller in parts.
People put down Bad, but it's pretty damn funky and I love it. Speed Demon, Another Part of Me and Smooth Criminal are also great. On the softer side of the album, Liberian Girl and Man In The Mirror are awesome. But clearly, the best song on the record is Dirty Diana.

There is not a bad song on Bad. Speed Demon definitly has some teeth to it. This is one album that flows very well from one track to the next. The production was second to none. Q and MJ worked together like a well oiled machine.

Even though it seems like a big make-over of Thriller, I think Mike and Quincy ran out of some ideas while working on this one. Bad is still a classic, in my eyes though, but it's no where near as brilliant as Off The Wall, Thriller, or even Dangerous. Check me out and add me on:

Liberian Girl is awesome. The instrumental is one of the most sampled in hip hop of the last 20 years. One of the best songs on that album...Also one of the few examples of MJ actually being "Michael Jackson"....A very soulful, emotional track...
