Busta just LOOOOVES gay people (NOT!) Busta Rhymes' gay fan attack
Thursday, 30th March 2006, 12:33 LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Busta Rhymes has lashed out at a gay fan who tapped him on the shoulder. The incident happened as the rapper-turned-actor was leaving the 11th Street Diner in Miami's trendy South Beach district in the early hours of Sunday (26.03.06). Eyewitness Thomas Barker told America's New York Post newspaper: "The restaurant was packed with transvestites, gay men and drag queens, which obviously made him a little edgy. "When a young gay guy came up behind Busta and tapped him on the shoulder to congratulate the rapper on his recent comeback. He added: "Before the guy could even mutter a word, Busta turned around and repeatedly screamed, 'Why the f**k you touchin' me, man? Get the f**k away from me'. It's claimed the 'Break Ya Neck' rapper then whispered to one of his bodyguards: "I hate f*****g faggots, man'." ---------------------------------

not sayin that Busta doesnt have anything against gay people but this part is questionable. how do they know what he whispered... Busta couldve been having a bad day or just doesnt like fans he doesnt know touching him,it could have absolutely nothin 2 do w/him being gay. IMO

i'm feeling kinna iffy about this article...smells too much like a gossip column to me. but if this really is true:
"The restaurant was packed with transvestites, gay men and drag queens, which obviously made him a little edgy[...]"
...then why didn't he just leave if he feels so uncomfortable around gay people? nobody was forcing 'im to stay there.

And yeah its true, don't touch celebrities...he should have waited until Busta made eye contact with him and just waved or something... or maybe not This is an interesting viewpoint on two fronts... ...for the first case, this particular diner where he was, sits on a main drag of clubs and hotels, and tradionally is a daytime hang-out mainly for local beach residents, and at night more of a mixed crowd of EVRYBODY that's been out clubbing or musicians who have been gigging. It's black, white, latin, straight, gay, local, european tourist, EVERYBODY. It's relaxed and cozy, but it's A DINER, for God Sakes...albeit a very trendy diner in vintage silver trailer, but it's still a DINER and a neighborhood insitution, where EVRYBODY hangs out...in the old days it was never a question whether or not the boys (or GIRLS) from TWIST were hanging out there, and I would say , that since he knows now that gay people work and frequent this old neighborhood hang (as they have been YEARS before South Beach became so commercialized), and it bothers him so much, then maybe he shouldn't go back...EVAH Then lastly, I think you're right about not touching celebs...a definite no-no.. as it should be with regards to ANYONE's personal space...however, I'd be the world's biggest liar if I wouldn't say I remember and MISS the time when celebrities (both domestic and international) used to slink around the Beach like locals; they were polite, they'd give you a smile like a regular person does on the street, they had enough anonymity to go for an unescorted run on the beach or sit and have a cuban coffee by themselves, or ask you for a cigarette...and it was all so CHILL and OKAY! This current era of "I need an entourage and we are the land of bling bling" Miami Beach is such a turn off...Actually, now that I think of it, I think both the fan and Busta look like knuckleheads after this... sad, but true...!

Well, for a start, there is more to the story than what is mentioned in the main post of this thread:
March 29, 2006 -- BUSTA Rhymes went ballistic on a young gay fan who dared to tap the rapper on the shoulder after a night of clubbing in Miami. Rhymes, who was in South Beach for the Winter Music Conference, has been on edge ever since one of his security guards, Israel Ramirez, was shot dead last month in Brooklyn while guarding Rhymes' jewelry. But it seems nothing makes the rapper's temper flare faster than the unwanted touch of an effeminate man. The drama unfolded at the 11th Street Diner, which is next door to gay club Twist, early Sunday morning. "The restaurant was packed with transvestites, gay men and drag queens, which obviously made Busta a little edgy," eyewitness Thomas Barker e-mails. "This became evident when a young gay guy came up behind Busta and tapped him on the shoulder to congratulate the rapper on his recent comeback. Before the guy could even mutter a word, Busta turned around and repeatedly screamed, 'Why the [bleep] you touchin' me, man? Get the [bleep] away from me' . . . his two huge bodyguards then caused an even larger scene by pushing the kid away . . . Busta quietly whispered to his bodyguards, 'I hate [bleeping] faggots, man.' " A spokeswoman for Rhymes did not return calls. Link Like Deja said, it smells kinda fishy considering he had no problem being in a restaurant with 'transvestites, gay men and drag queens' so sounds like the "I hate [bleeping] faggots man" 'quote' is more than a little spurious. If it's true, i'd be more than a little disapointed as I dig the guy, and have thrown some of my hard-earned ca$h his way more than once. Oh, and finally, there are Gay rappers out there doin' their thang, like Englands hot scally-cutie 'Q-Boy' for instance: www.qboy.co.uk Right on.

That was RUDE of BUSTA. A fan is a FAN GAY or STRAIGHT so why FLIP OUT? Not like he was ASKING for SEX. I think a GROSS OVEREXAGGERATION on BUSTA'S SIDE.
