The Funk Ballad Appreciation Thread pt. 2

Give props to your favorite funk ballads... again wink
Here are some really good funk ballads that, if I remember correctly, didn't get mentioned over at the first 'Funk Ballad Appreciation' thread.

The Ohio Players - Honey
The Ohio Players - Let's Do It (Interpolated with "Let's Love")
The Ohio Players - Together
(The Players' ballads in general are underrated... they got some great ballads)
Rick James - Fire And Desire
Graham Central Station - Is It Love?

AND

Parliament - Wizard Of Finance
I'll keep on mentioning this sucka 'til y'all tell me what you think of it lol
So far you people have ignored it in every thread I've posted it on no no no!
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I know people won't agree with my assessment, but I think the term "funk ballad" is an oxymoron.

Once the funk slows down to ballad tempos, the song in the realm of R&B, not funk. I guess that is a function of my own musical categorization system, but funk, to me, has nothing to do with the slow jam. I like the slow jam, but it doesn't fit in my "funk" box. shrug
