Would Queen have survived if Freddie hadn't died?

If Freddie didn't die, would Queen still be sucessful?

I imagine them still playing huge stadiums and putting young bads to shame with the mighty performance!

Man...I really miss Freddie! sad

Ofcourse they would've, what kind of stupid question is that. As the number 1 Queen fan on this board (I doubt anyone on here has more knowledge of the songs or trivia than I) that's like a no brainer. They would've picked up a little momentum from Wayne's World and rode that until the 70's nostalgia that started in the mid 90's when they probably would've really went off. Especially if you assume songs like China Belle and Cyborg from Brian May would've been written as Queen songs you can assume that the elclectic nature of their music would've been appreciated during the mid 90's with modern production method and sounds. But if my aunt had balls she's be my uncle so who cares about what ifs.

If Freddie was alive, Queen would be just as successful as The Rolling Stones & KISS.

Yes, I believe Queen would still be making great music. Freddie had such an amazing, unique voice and the rest of the band played very well together too. I still listen to their music quite a bit. There last cd is haunting.

If they can have sucess with Paul Rodgers, then I imagine that there is still demand for Queen today.

Queen died with Freddie. Brian May & Roger Taylor as still together and playing with "hired hands". Please, don't get it twisted.
• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.
