This was my 1993 year-end top 10 list:

10. The Wake - Masked

9. Suddenly, Tammy! - Suddenly, Tammy!

8. Rosetta Stone - Adrenaline

7. London After Midnight - Selected Scenes From The End Of The World

6. Prince - The Hits/The B-Sides

5. Janet Jackson - Janet

4. Miranda Sex Garden - Suspiria

3. Cranes - Forever

2. Curve - Cuckoo

1. Fields Of The Nephilim - Revelations

1993 was in the middle of my prime goth years so my list is very dark. Two best of comps made my list which is a no-no for me today. no no no!

I don't really remember which albums I slept on back then. I think I didn't get PJ Harvey's 'Rid Of Me' until after 'To Bring You My Love' so that would qualify. Björk's 'Debut' and Wu-Tang's first album I didn't buy until later also.

around those years anyway

I still can't believe how the world has forgotten about Lush - IMO 'Split' was one of the best records of the so-called Alternative Era

'Split' was 1994. I love Lush and as a result I'm very into Emma's new band Sing-Sing. They need a lot more press.

namepeace

A Tribe Called Quest: Midnight Marauders

Digable Planets: Reachin'

Janet Jackson: janet

Black Moon: Enta Da Stage

De La Soul: Buhloone Mindstate

Prince: The Hits/B-Sides

Singles/songs:

"Right Here (Human Nature Remix)" -- SWV

"Anniversary" -- Tony Toni Tone

"Pink Cashmere" -- Prince

'Breakadawn" -- De La Soul

"93 Til Infinity" -- Souls of Mischief

"No Need For Alarm" -- Del The Funky Homosapien

"Top of the World" -- Kenya Gruv (from Menace II Society soundtrack)

Honestly, I heard enough of The Chronic that I was sick of it for a while. I got put on to Wu-Tang at the beginning of '94.
Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I love Sing-Sing and I looooove the new record. I basically ignored them until a few months ago, when my need for a Lush fix got so bad that I just gave in. Really super glad I did. The first cd is more complex to me, but this new one showcases Lisa's voice - just incredible. The best female vocal I've heard in years.

They (Sing-Sing) are one of my 4 MySpace friends - ha! I do love those girls. biggrin
