Ministry

I remember being around 15/16, and finding one of their (is it their?) albums called "twitch". I got my mates into the album. Just found that album and "land of rape and honey" the other day. Good stuff. Sounds cliche as hell now, but u gotta remember, back in the mid-late 80's, this industrial goth woulda sounded hella fresh.

Still love "just like you". Amusing song aswell.

and "stigmata" is not reccomended if u have a headache LOL.

It all sounds so played out now, but, i got some love for those albums. Just grown outta them since then. But those beats are killer.

I like Ministry but not all of their stuff. When Jurgenson is good, that bitch is goooood. But when he sucks you just can't bother to listen to an entire album.

Filth Pig and Dark side of the Spoon made me ill But Twitch, Mind, and Land or Rape, etc. are great thumbs up!

yes yes!!!! The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste is still the shit!

....actually partied a couple times (way back in the day) with Al(ien), Paul & Chris Connelly. in dtroit & chicago (when they lived there.)

& like Prince, Al & Paul released several side-projects under dif-names. some mad-mad shit.

Ministry is actually touring now with none other than their Revolting Cocks project opening up.

Land of Rape and Honey eek eek eek

I was a good Christian boy when I met my friends Jamie and Blake and they were obsessed with that album. We listened to it at least once a day for months. At the time I was truly scared of that music but looking back, that shit was tight. I always wished Prince would have made an album completely fueled and high on drugs. It could only strike his musical genius nod

U know what, "Loose" is actually quite like one of those early ministry songs, partically the fucked up vocals. Love that song.

"turn around". lol

That was my first Ministry album. Then I went back and bought 'The Land Of Rape Honey'. I could never get into 'Twitch'. It sounded like Ministry was still undecided between the old new wave sound and their future industrial noise.

This is the thing, why add guitars? Grrrr, sounds cheesy.

Hard to beleive, but jane child's first album has industrial goth moments (my fav being "ds 21") and her second album, i think had some odd hybrid of grundgy sorta goth aswell, mixed in with the pop.

she certainly looked the part too. Dont be fooled by the sublime pop of "dont wanna fall in love", its a dark album.
