a good friend of mines wife cannot stand Kate Bush and he always has to turn her off whenever she's around.

One of the most beautiful songs I have heard from Kate was a B side. It's called Under The Ivy and is simply stunning (this was only available on the box set but I believe is now also on the latest version of Hounds of Love. Also try The Coral Room from her latest album - Aerial

For me her best period was pre-Dreaming, the production was warm and lush and the songwriting exceptional. Hounds of Love is also a great album but Sensual World and The Red Shoes were more patchy (and the production seemed quite harsh)

Start with The Whole Story then once you have entered into the world of Bush you won't look back...a true individual

Check out "The Hounds of Love" and "The Whole Story" for starters...then move to "The Dreaming" and "The Sensual World" ...you'll be ready for the rest after that
