Madge's tour themes...

...sounds...um...er...interesting...

according to drownedmadonna.com:

Madonna and Jaime King have defined the three major "sections" of the new show:

1. Equestrian

2. Middle Eastern

3. Disco

And the songs being played according to madonnatribe.com:

All of "Confessions" LP except "Future Lovers"
"Erotica"
"Hollywood"
"Borderline"
"Where's the Party"

I hope this is all untrue. Especially the "Equestrian" shit. The thing I love most about her is her live shows but this shit sounds wack and like she's still milking that horse accident (sooo 2005).

And I thought the whole thing was supposed to be disco! That was gonna be cool...70s disco, 80s disco, Studio 54 disco, future disco, raver/electronica, electro clash, break dancing...that had me excited.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I'm sure that Madonna will come up with something great. She's never let me down as far as doing a great live show. When the themes first were rumored for the DWT and the Reinvention tour, they sounded dumb, but everything worked out great in the end. She really knows how to put an entertaining show together.
Even the DWT was amazing, when she didn't play that many of her hits.

So are we to assume that this is the complete setlist? If so, that'd be pretty skimpy and disappointing.

We'll see. Denny and I swore we were skipping "the next tour" after our lukewarm response to Reinvention.

Then she had to go and release an album that KICKED MY ASS and I changed my tune.

But, the way things are now...I skipped Billy Bragg last weekend cos I didn't have the $20. In the hierarchy of my concert NEEDS this year, Madonna just may not make the cut.

See, I'm ass backwards.

I LOVED "American Life". But circumstances prevented me from going. And I've been kicking myself ever since, especially after seeing the "I'm Going to Tell You a Secret" documentary.

I like the new album okay, but it'll never be one of my favorites. And the more I hear about this new tour, the less enthused I am, other than the possibility of some small venues. But I know I've gotta be there because of the HUGE regret I feel about missing the last one.

Well i hope she does most of the album because i enjoy it so much and would be great to perform live.
I really dug the DWT for her not bringing out all the old hits. She's on tour to promote the album and that's what she should do.

But i doubt any of this info is correct anyways, all this insider shit is never accurate and it's just usually wild fans making up shit cause they're bored.

I think it will most likely be 7 tracks from the album and the rest being hits and possibly obscurities.

wait...endorphin...what DIDN'T you like about RIT? I for one thought the costumes were subpar, there were almost TOO many hits from the 80s (it seemed like she just chose songs from the Immaculate Collection and some other stuff from AL) and even though AL isn't one of my favorit Madge albums, the few songs I love off their (love profusion, so stupid, hollywood) she didn't sing live.

and gangsta...you didn't go to RIT? why the F not? for me the fact that she opened with Vogue, sang Into the Groove, Deeper and Deeper, and Burning Up alone made it worth it.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

My least favorite song...she can keep it off. Then again, what are the chances she'll play here! Not lin love with the classic tracklisting other than "Erotica"..I hate "Holllywood"!

Who in the world hates the original "Nothing Fails". I didn't dig the remix I can't understand why that was promoted as a single (sort of). The original kicked ass and everyone knew it (she got a huge reaction when she preformed it live on an MTV special).

For me, the energy of the show seemed very uneven. It seemed just as I was getting into it, she'd roll-out another wonky version of a classic. I'm in the minority here, but I hated the version she did of Deeper and Deeper. I had not seen this done live before and as it's one of my favorite Madonna dance songs, I was expecting to work it to that song. Instead she did that weird-ass, slow, cabaret-ish version and I was beside myself.

My favorite song was honestly Nobody Knows Me. It was simple, it was powerful and bitch had me eating out of her hand for that song nod Sadly it didn't last.

My BF actually got up in the middle of the show and: went to the bathroom, smoked, looked at merchandise and got a beer. When he finally got back he didn't even ask what he missed.

I dunno, it's hard to point to WHAT exactly caused us to be less impressed than with Drowned World. But, it just didn't work as well for me.

That being said, I'm glad I went. But we had more fun hanging out with our friends in chi-town than we actually did at the show, and that's a BAD sign.

I was shocked to read people's responses to that performance as I thought EVERYONE would hate it. Man was I off the mark.

I dunno, looking back, my reaction to the show probably said a lot more about me and where I was with music at that time. I had totally burned-out on AL and was barely even able to make myself play Madonna leading up to the show.

And, it was shortly after the Musicology shows so I had been thru 3 nights of Prince insanity, each night in amazing seats. Then, I was at RIT sitting in the upper deck, feeling disconnected from the show and just kinda blah about it all.

04...that was the best year...2 erykah shows, 3 madonna shows, 3 prince shows...i agree the musicology tour left me in tears almost every time and i didn't have the same feeling with RIT...something about it felt a little slopped together and disjointed and a little bit of a letdown...but it's madonna nonetheless and a bad madonna show is like a bad orgasm...still pretty F*Ing good
