Today's edition of the Sun paper publishes an interesting article on Madonna's upcoming live show. I have managed to obtain the first details of Madonna's forthcoming world tour.And if you thought Re-Invention was special,this one is shaping up to be even more spectacular. Her Madjesty is recreating scenes from notorious New York nightclub Studio 54---famous for its debauched antics and drug-fueled dancing in the Seventies. The Queen of Pop is even learning to krump---a cool hip-hop dance based on body-popping and breakdancing.The dance is featured in Rize,a documentary by film-maker David LaChappelle. A source said: "Madonna has been practicing krumping ever since she filmed the videos to "Hung Up" and "Sorry".It started as an underground dance in gangland L.A. and Madonna now wants to make it her own". Madge has ordered a unique spinning platform to be designed so she and her dancers can recreate Studio 54's extravagant scenes.She has also orderd dozens of disco balls to decorate the staqe with authentic Seventies lighting. Another section,American Land,will indulge Madonna's obsession with horses,with video walls showing footage of her riding scantily clad in the pouring rain. A third part,Oriental and Eastern,will see Madonna joined onstage by a Kabbalah singer to perform a remix of her brilliant album track "Isaac". One section will have a Parkour specialist---the wacky sport on the BBC promotional film with a bloke running across London rooftops.Madge will also showcase some new music,if her label Warners gives the go-ahead. And I have the provisional tracklist to prove it. Producer Stuart Price has been working on "Keep The Trance" and "History",which I hear are both killer tracks,and he has completely re-worked "Erotica" and "Who's That Girl",which are almost unrecognizable. it has just been confirmed that Donna Delory will be one of the backup singers on this tour (she's been on EVERY Madonna tour since 1987's 'Who's That Girl' tour)
It doesn't look like Nikki Garris will be joining this tour

Hmmmm, no Vogue, no Into The Groove, no Like A Prayer, no Express Yourslef. For a dance inspired show she's leaving out some of her best dance songs. Im thrilled if she does Borderline, but stuff like Like A Virgin, Bedtime Story, Where's The Party, Skin, Im just not fussed about. | |

Actually,if you believe the first "eyewitness report" in this thread,Stuart played a remix of "Into The Groove" duing the rehearsals,which would indicate that it is at least being considered.But if she sings it,let's hope she uses the original lyrics this time.On the Re-Invention Tour,she was singing all that "let me show you some moves,it's best to take it from me" nonsense,which nearly ruined the song for me. "Vogue","Like A Prayer" and "Express Yourself",I could do without.Those songs were performed on the last tour and although they are great songs,I think she should be bold and pick some tracks that she hasn't performed in awhile... Lets face it, probably only 30% o f the crowds are going to be hardcore fans, i think she has to do some "classics" to appeal to the casual fan. Like A Prayer is a must in my opinion, Its her most loved song. Even prince still manages to bring himself to perform Purple Rain. I could really do without Music again. Also im hoping for proper encores this time. 3 of em! | |

Honestly, a lot of Madonna's best work IMO is her ballads. Live to Tell, Bad Girl, Take a Bow, I'll Remember, Nothing Fails, DWSFL, Frozen, etc. I'm sure she could do an all dance tour, but I certainly won't be heartbroken if she decided to add ballads. What I would do for her to perform "Oh Father" again. | |

She really needs to put down the "Equestrian" Section of the show. That's just amazingly stupid. If I was the tour director, this is how it would play out. [b]Act One: Enchanted Forest(Lush trees with high contrast colored lights, stars, etc.)[/b] 1. Bedtime Story 2. Swim 3. Hung Up 4. Erotica 5. Let It Will Be 6. Angel 6. Jump 7. Instrumental of Papa Don't Preach while set evolves into Act 2 Act Two: Disco (Disco Ball Galore, Stained Glass Structures, Heavenly Lights) 8. Deeper and Deeper 9 Into The Groove 10. Get Together 11. Vogue 12. Causing A Commotion 13 Everybody 14. Holiday 15.
