I don't know if hew actually really played with him, but Victor Wooten and his band played at the 2002 Xenophobia Celebration at Paisley Park.

Victor Wooten said in an interview that he wanted to jam with Prince, but he didnt know when it was going to happen

I would love to see Prince playing some instrumental jams with cats like VW, Marcus Miller, etc...small clubs...it would be so cool!

Has anyone listened to "The Loneliest Monk" track from Victor's "What Did He Say?" album? It is hilarious as well as impressive how he tells the story of a monk as if he was the monk and the music that accompanies it sets the mood like nothing I've heard before.

I'm not sure which songs you are speaking of, but get Marcus Miller and or Victor Wooten's last 2 or 3 cd's. U will NOT be disapointed. I'm NOT a jazz fan but this is some FUNKY music and I love it.

On the video clip the guitarist is Victor's older brother Reggie, of whom he credits his thumping technique to.

- By the way, Marcus Miller covers Prince on Silver Rain album. He plays ´Girls and Boys´ with Macy Gray...real cool. He said he is a big fan.

That Silver Rain CD is cool as hell! his covers of Stevie Wonder's "Boogie On Reggae Woman" and his cover of "Frankenstein" are great as well. I like "Bruce Lee", too.
