currently im rocking this album..very good..

my favorite track so far is alarm call..
i especially like the line where it saids...

"Im No Fucking Buddhist But This Is Enlightment"

this album is very angry,and yet cold..
any fans of this album..

perhaps can anyone recommend another album by a different artist that sounds remotely close to this album..


and who is LFO? sappusly they help out with the beats in this album..are they good what song do you recommend?...

I really like the video mix of "Alarm Call". The video itself is provocative. I think Björk wanted to have sex with that snake.

you know...today was like the first time in months that I listened to Bjork. I just took a long ass break from her music. I only listened to about 6 songs though...mostly from Debut.

Pluto's my favorite btw.

Mark Bell from LFO was in charge of the beats. I'm not too familiar with his other work, but he did a wonderful job here and on her tour in '98. He was also heavily involved with "Selmasongs" and some of the "Post" remixes.

As far as other albums that explore the possibilities of hypermodern beats mixed with classical strings, I would highly recommend Aphex Twin's "Richard D. James" album. Nothing sounds quite like "Homogenic", but I know she was inspired by some of his work.

At least with the video mix you get some sampled strings and much harder beats...what "Homogenic" is all about.

All Is Full Of Love is just about my most favourite song ever and my choice for best video ever made.

I've been watching her video collection on dvd a lot lately
I introduced the song and vid on a night with friends where
everyone was supposed to bring three of four fragments from
film music etc that would be played on a huge beamer and we
would then discuss why we picked it and what others thought
of it etc.

A very cool concept because everyone took turns in showing
their fragments and it was huge fun cause we had humour and
very serious stuff mixed with videos and such.

One of my picks was the video for "All is Full of Love" and
my fascination with the song as well as the video. I told m
how much I loved the video and how erotic and sensual it is
without showing any real humans but just machines.

The beats and the water and fluids in the video and all the
electricity and sparks work so well together that it makes
for one of the best video's ever.

To my surprise none of the 7 people in attendance had ever
seen this video. By the time the song was done (they had a
super amazing soundsystem to go with the beamer) everyone
just sat in silence and was like "what the hell was that?
can we watch it again? that was just beautiful"



They all want to copy the bjork video dvd now LOL.

But yeah, returning to the topic, I absolutely love Alarm
Call. Think it's a great kick-ass song.



Vespertine is my fav Bjork album, but if you need to get a
