Jamiroquai update: 'Best Of' compilation due in November...what songs would you choose?

After 6 albums,Jamiroquai is finally going to release a 'Best of' compilation, due in November. Most likely, there will be a couple of new tracks. To those of you who have all their albums and have been a fan for years, what songs would you choose for this CD?

in other Jamiroquai news,it looks like the guys have switched record labels.A news item posted on their official site has more details...

As you might have already heard,Jamiroquai have switched to Columbia Records as a result of the new label structuring at Sony BMG.It's just a business procedure and nothing to worry about because Jamiroquai will continue to produce their unique brand of funked-up grooves for many years to come

Columbia Records is a division of Sony BMG and a number of Sony BMG UK artists have recently moved to the label.

I won't get this unless it has rare/new tracks. I have made so many Jam compilations. I want them to be pushed harder in the states.I think there are many missing a boat they would like to ride on .

They have songs that are "hit singles" and others that are simply their best.

it's difficult to compile a tracklist because,in many cases, they have released different singles in different countries. And since this is a "best of",I want it to be a complete overview of their singles.I'm gonna go ahead and pick most of the singles that I think were released in America. How about a 20-track CD that looks somewhat like this?

FEELS JUST LIKE IT SHOULD: THE BEST OF JAMIROQUAI (1993-2005)

When You Gonna Learn
Too Young To Die
Blow Your Mind
Space Cowboy
Light Years
Virtual Insanity
Cosmic Girl
Alright
High Times
Deeper Underground
Canned Heat
Black Capricorn Day
Little L
You Give Me Something
Love Foolosophy
Feels Just Like It Should
Seven Days In Sunny June
Don't Give Hate A Chance
*new song
*new song

I think this would be a good introduction to the music of Jamiroquai hmmm

Exactly. It's hard to know how to balance the two.On my tracklist,I chose singles only....no album tracks. It was hard for me to leave off non-singles like "Picture Of My Life" and "Planet Home".

Have you ever heard "Shoot The Moon"? They performed it at one of their 2003 concerts. It's an excellent track...catchy,fast and funky.Shame on them for not including it on 'Dynamite'.

It's a damn shame that Sony allowed a brilliant song like "Seven Days In Sunny June" to flop in the States. That's one of their finest songs, and it should have been all over the radio and the video shows!! Where is payola when you really need it? confuse lol

Save for a few songs, I had no idea which songs were actual singles so I just picked my favorites but I like your list.

Yeah,I didn't know what the singles were either.I had to go check out their singles discography at www.funkin.com lol

Hardly any of their singles get airplay here in the States.

Why is it that some artists that have been around for years (or not)get one break through song in the US and then disappear? It doesn't even seem like the label tries for a follow single.

I'm thinking of Jamiroquai, EBTG, Kylie, Craig David, Daniel Bedingfield, Vanessa Daou altho she's stateside...I'm sure there are others but those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

David Eye I dig your list. That'll work. I finally. finally found "Dynamite". No stores around me have carried it since it's release. Amazing as usual. I found it in the used bin for 99 cents (!)
