HELP! I am doing a mix CDand need advice...

come july, my best male friends from high school (and beyond) and i are re-uniting for a week long bachelor party that will involve us camping for a week and consuming mass quantities of alcohol and weed and having our own 10 year high school reunion.

part of the trip involves us each making 2 mix cds for the van ride from texas to colorado. there are no rules, except that you have to be creative.

because i love tormenting all of them about their being straight (even though i slept with 3 of them including the groom), so i am doing gay and liberal thematic cds.

cd numero uno is mostly done with the following list:

interludes are in italics

from family guy:
(voice)"Mr. Griffin, your opening statement?"
(peter)"Uh... Okay. I'm Peter Griffin, vote for me.
(pause)
(voice) "Is that it?"
(peter) "Uh... no. Uh... This is it... uh... This is life. The one ya get. So go and have a ball... cause the world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might might be right for you might not be right for some. You take the good, you take the bad, you take em both and there you have... my opening statement. Sit boo-boo, sit. Good dog"

Missy Elliot - We Run This

from beetlejuice:
(beetlejuice) "I wonder where a guy, an everyday joe like myself can find a little action?"

Electric 6 - Gay Bar

from Will & Grace:
(jack) "Well... look who it is. The worst thing to happen to gay culture since straight guys started dressing gay."

Madonna - Hung Up

from Will & Grace:
(karen) "Listen to me! You're in a gay club with a nice ass! start shaking that moneymaker!"

Christina Aguilara - Dirrty

from Will & Grace:
(jack) "For gay guys, a hand down the pants just means 'hello', 'goodbye', and 'peace'... it's our 'shalom'"

Pussycat Dolls featuring Busta Rhymes - Don'tcha

from Will & Grace:
(will) "Are you ready for a bag full of happiness? And I am not talking about your stoner days"

Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride (Fatboy Slim mix)

from Will & Grace:
(will) "Did you take a bong hit before you wrote that??"

Deee-Lite - Groove Is In the Heart (Sampadelic mix)

from In & Out:
(voice) "Excuse me... are we a little teapot??"

George Clinton - Atomic Dog

sound effect: "waterbong hit"
from Team America:World Police:
"We've got a job to do! Let's go police the world!"

D.V.D.A. - America (Fuck Yeah!)

from the idiot in the whitehouse:
(w) "There's an old saying in Tennessee, I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee... Fool me once... shame on... shame on you... Fool me- can't get fooled again"

Green Day - American Idiot

from the idiot in the whitehouse:
(w) "If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier...[laughter] just so long as I am the dictator" [laughter]

David Bowie - I'm Afraid of Americans

from the idiot in the whitehouse:
(w) "I'm just getting warmed up... I'm kinda finding my feet"
sound effect: bomb explosion

Basement Jaxx - Good Luck

from Will & Grace:
(karen) "By your inflection, I can tell that you think what you are saying is funny, but... no."

Violent Femmes - Blister in the Sun

from the road to wellville:
(anthony hopkins character) "Masturbation is the silent killer of the night. The vilest kind of self-pollution."

Anastacia - I'm Out of Love

from Shrek 2:
(donkey) "ugh... that is NASTY"

Missy Elliot - Gossip Folks (Fatboy Slim remix)

from South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut:
(chef) "Have you ever heard of the Emancipation Proclamation?"
(general) "I don't listen to hip-hop"

Kanye West - Gold Digger

from SNL:
(mr. robinson) "Where do babies come from, boys and girls? Well, when a man loves a woman very much, they lay down, and the man gives the woman 20 dollars."

The Time - Jungle Love

from South Park:
(michael jackson) "Blanket! Oh, My beautiful Blanket!"
(kyle) "What's wrong with his face?"
(stan) "Be cool, dude. I think he's a burn victim or something."

The Jackson 5 - ABC

from South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut:
(saddam) "Eeeeh, you better get packing bitch! We gotta go, we're running out of time!!"

Shirley Bassey - Hey Big Spender (Wild Oscar mix)

from Monty Python's Flying Circus:
(eric idle character) "Well, that's quite enough of that"

Girls and Boys by Blur perhaps?

seems to work thematically...would work even better if you can get your hands on the Pet Shop Boys Remix nod

ps...I like what you have so far!

not sure how to bridge the theme to another cd, but that is a great song.

basically, i just piled some of my faves into a list and started arranging and subtracting and bridging gaps till i got this.

Papa Was a Rodeo by Magnetic Fields might work brilliantly after Homosapien. Kudos to Lilgish on calling that one...

eh, that'll happen when you are enmeshed in a CD project.

All to often I'll "finish" my mix. Then 3 days later think of a song that REALLY belonged and have to make it all over. lol

Course, I'm a geek

thanks...

i used to be the straight man's whore back in the day. one of the guys going on this trip and i as adults were talking about people from high school we slept with, and i listed of several of our friends whom are str8, and he was slack-jawed.
he asked "how did i manage to elude your velvet claws?"

giggle

it was my sport in high school, and i was the MVP. i slept with more str8 men than gay men by a very wide margin until i was about 22 and calmed down on my wild ways.

you should read the post i put up in the spats appreciation (or sex) thread in gd...

It is a bit hackneyed...I don't know of a good remix....search around on the internet.
I just think your CD needs at least one of the old 'diva disco' types in there....just for kicks. tease

i put shirley bassey, but she's not really disco.

and you are right, i need a disco diva standard... good point.

maybe donna summer - love to love you baby?

could do a sex theme...
