Prince and Chaka Album?

I came across a cd by Chaka Khan and Prince CD this weekend at virgin Megastore and never heard of it before. Is it good? Worth checking out?

I like it, but I'm not that big a Chaka Khan fan. It's very smooth. I wouldn't pay megabucks for it, but if you can get it for the equivlent of $10 or less, go for it.

Its ok. My favorites are "Come 2 My House" "Betcha eye dancing jig " and probably the remake of "Dont Talk 2 Strangers"

I dunno, theres something plastic about the production, but Chakas vocals are on key...its just that Prince in 1997-98 sound that kinda throws the album off.

Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Yeah I figured this albuk could be iffy since it was made in the 90's. Now had they collaborated together it the 80's it would have been a different story.

I think you are referring to Chaka's 1998 album 'Come 2 My House',which was produced by Prince and appears on his NPG Records label.I like this album alot.My favorite songs are the title track and "Drama".Another highlight is the funky "Spoon".

I haven't listened to it in awhile but I remember kinda diggin' it. It was kinda dark and kinda raw production wise. But I remember it being somewhat interesting. It was part of that 3-pack from npg records NPG - New Power Soul, Chaka Kahn - Come 2 My House, GCS - GCS2000.
I'd have to listen again to see what I think now.

I'll have to get this someday, too. I remember reading that it was the best of the three.

Yes, I thought the same thing.
Actually, it's gotta a demo quality to it but it's not bad.

Better than the underrated New Power Soul it was definitely not..

The only real great songs on it r:

The Drama & come 2 My House

The production is pure funk-lite kitsch & MOR R&B drivel..

'Democrazy' is one o' the most cringeworthy things P was ever involved in..

I think it's the best album that Prince produced for another artist in the 90s.And yes,it is waaaayyyyy better than 'GCS2000' and Prince's own 'New Power Soul'.
