When I'm in the mood for chilly, detached beats, I find Plastikman's Musik works very well. It's a classic of its type, I think. 
The follow-up to that album (Consumed) displays the same qualities to such an extent that it barely even recognizable as music - it basically just a series of basslines that twine around your listening area. I'm not actually sure that it's really any good, but I do find it satisfying when I'm in the mood for it. | |
